George Bush used the term “rape rooms” when describing the atrocities of the Saddam Hussein regime. But did you know that during the Abu Ghraib torture investigation, General Taguba of the US Armed Forces investigation comity discovered footage of a female Iraqi detainee being sodomized by American military guards? We viewed the photos of the humiliation the male detainees suffered; they endured physiological abuse, sexual humiliation, forced stress positions, etc. But how many of us knew that there were other photos not shown, like objects being inserted in to detainee’s rectums?

Many out there may claim that this was an isolated incident, but it is clear to expert witnesses that the abuse that was being dished out clearly followed classic torture techniques that could have only been instructed by “expert” interrogators.

Aside from the fact that Bush has waged an illegal war of choice based upon a pack of filthy lies that has so far resulted in the slaughter of over 400,000 innocent Iraqis,Bush has abrogated/violated a number of US signed International LawsAgreements including the Geneva Convention on Prisoners.

His attempted obfuscating crap about "enemy combattants" is universally rejected as merely a vile method by which Bush and the US had hoped to torture/rape/abuse/kill prisoners with impunity.

The world wide outrage at the monumental hypocricy and double standards of the US (AS USUAL) is but reason number 5,787,689 for the enormous and often justified anger/hatred of the US.

As John McCain has said,the vile illegal Treaty breaking actions of that evil Bush now has set a precident where US prisoners can be tortured,raped,killed and generally "screwed with" by their captors.

No doubt,in it's ever monumental hypocricy and double standard the US and Americans will react violently if any of their soldiers are treated as the US has treated other prisoners.

"You live by the sword,you die by the sword" "What goes around ,comes around". 'You reap what you sow". "You get what you deserve".

While on a human level ,all rational caring humans will be appalled if any US prisoners are abused/raped or killed,on another level the world will not have much compassion for a country and it's people who are responsible for raping,maming and killing prisoners.

Always remember that it was the morally bankrupted US Military that coined the vile phrase "colateral damage" to describe the killing/slaughter of innocent civilians.

Can you imagine how the again monumental hypocritical US and it's citizens would react if the world referred to those slaughtered on 9/11 as COLATERAL DAMAGE.

This filthy morally/ethically anti-Christian phrase is reason number 4,987,987,987 (OK,a little exaggeration) for the hatred of the US by having your raped/killed little 12 year old Iraqi daughter called nothing but COLATERAL DAMAGE!!!!!!!!!!

What is a 'fool-proof' solution to the woman suffering insecurity and rejection in our society?
The patriarchal system has virtually made the woman a social outcast ('Paraya dhan' in Hindi). This system looks at woman as 'one to be given away' to the in-laws, and even carries out this 'noble task' with parents shedding crocodile tears at the girl's wedding! The poor girl is bundled off (after marriage) to her spouse's house, where she has to begin life from scratch and at the mercy of the people in the newfound surroundings.

(Has a man ever been subjected to such gruesome 'uprooting' ceremony ever?)

And if lady luck doesn't smile upon this married girl, she is blamed by the in-laws for being a bad omen and is left in the lurch. Then, to add insult to injury, the social wolves hovering around close in for the kill. What more, her biological parents, by now, faced with the fear of being ostracised by the community, would totally refuse to take their once-dear-daughter, back to her original home, citing various traditional reasons. So, to cut short the drudgery of this unfortunate species, and as a solution to this malignant problem, some 'intelligent' people in our society have come up with ideas of female foeticide and infanticide and many other torture techniques for this female species.

It is high time we stopped blaming and punishing men and women for killing their female guyren. We must instead blame the social system that has placed woman in such a precarious position. The permanent solution to this malignant problem lies in renaissance- A cultural rebirth...a revival of learning and culture, where we can redefine the social status of man and woman and place the two at par with each other.
Yes, we need to change this social system, so that the woman feels secure and wanted and grows with strong roots in her home with no fear of being 'auctioned out' in the marriage market. This is going to be a very difficult task, but as we all know, 'A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step'. Please think deeply about this and give me your valuable responses. Together we can change the future.

Agree that the scenario is like that, but on an optimistic note, the situations are improving. And if not, at least people have become more aware of such wrong practices.

Don't take it personally, but i feel women are equally responsible for this situation. As far as i have observed, it's the women who are found making more hue and cry then men, when a girl guy is born. It does not mean i am giving a clean chit to the men, but when a female is found cursing other female for giving birth to one more female, this thing does not digest to me at all.

About the tough situations that a female has to face, i always thank God for not making me a female as i think i could never take it all.
And such things happen all over the world, so cursing our society for this is not the right way. I think, the reason for this practice is that women are mentally much more stronger than men. I am sure, no man can handle such difficulties. It was in a way, a sacrificing initiative taken by women which further became a practice.

On a Personal note, i almost worship women for their ability to bring new life on earth. This is something a man can never do. 14year old desperately needs help...depressing...?
Hello everyone. I am a 14 year old female, and my birthday is in 20 days. I weigh 200 pounds, and am only 5'4. I really want to loose weight to gain a little more self confidence but I don't know what to do. The only thing I drink is water, so sugar filled soda's aren't an issue. I get tortured all the time at school, being call a fat @ss, and everything else. I am just sick of the way I look, and I need some good diet and excersise tips to loose maybe 20 pounds by Julyish.
